Pattaya’s hotels reported strong reservations for Labor Day weekend.
Thanet Supornsahatrangsi, MD of the Sunlight Group, stated his homes were more than 80% complete since April 27. More last-minute reservations were anticipated for the April 28-May 1 weekend.
He stated about half of the reservations are from Thais which hotels near the beach were complete. Many reservations are for 2 nights or less.
Thanet stated Pattaya’s hotel market is extremely varied, with resorts for all market groups, from households to solo tourists.
Now that it’s low season, the Sunlight Group’s primary target is Thai travelers, Thanet stated. Amongst foreign travelers, Sunlight is targeting Asians and Indians who do not have as far to take a trip to get to Thailand.
He stated the primary issue in getting foreign reservations now is the brief supply of flights and high air travels.
