Chonburi Province Guv Thawatchai Srithong, accompanied by Wirot Meenaphan (Deputy President of Corporate Affairs and Relations at Thai Oil) and federal government authorities, provides 5,831,000 baht in settlement to victims of the oil spill in Sriracha in September.

PATTAYA, Thailand— On November 16, Chonburi Province Guv Thawatchai Srithong commanded an event at the Provincial Hall to disperse monetary support to people impacted by the petroleum spill into the sea on September 3 when more than 60,000 litres of oil dripped into the sea at the Single Buoy Mooring (SBM-2) of Thai Oil Refinery in Sriracha, around 16 kilometers southwest of the Thai Oil refinery’s coastline.

Following the oil spill occurrence, the Chonburi provincial administration urgently developed a job force to keep track of and assist in help to those impacted. Under the chairmanship of Amnat Jaroensri, Deputy Guv of Chonburi Province, the committee effectively collaborated and interacted with afflicted locals and Thai Oil Business executives to make sure a timely and detailed action to the circumstance.
