The Ministry of Energy is extending the help duration for gas for car (NGV) costs to ease the effect on operators of trucks, public lorries, and taxis.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Pirapan Salirathavibhaga exposed the facility of a working group to examine and resolve the problem of increasing gas costs for lorries (NGV), impacting truck operators, public transport, and cabby.
PTT Public Business Limited (PTT) will extend the NGV cost help duration for advantage cardholders in 2 stages. In Stage 1, from January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, NGV will be cost the cost of 14.62 Baht per kg. Stage 2, from July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025, NGV will be cost the cost of 15.59 Baht per kg. Furthermore, PTT will think about increasing the regular monthly gas purchase limitation from the existing 10,000 Baht per car to 12,000 Baht per car.
For public lorries, the NGV cost help duration for advantage cardholders will be extended from January 1 to January 31, 2024. Throughout this duration, NGV will be cost the cost of 18.59 Baht per kg.
Trucks will get a discount rate on the sale of NGV for a 6-month duration. At stations situated outside pipeline paths, a discount rate of roughly 0.50 Baht per kg will be provided, while stations along pipeline paths will supply a discount rate of around 1 Baht per kg. After the 6-month help duration, the list price of NGV will follow the routine rates structure.
