SA KAEO, Thailand – The Gumball 3000 supercar convoy, consisting of 120 cars and over 250 participants, arrived in Thailand from Cambodia at 13:00 hr on 17 September at the Ban Khlong Luek permanent border crossing, Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo province. They received swift document processing assistance from Sa Kaeo immigration officers and Aranyaprathet customs officials.
Gumball 3000 headed to the PTT Station on the Aranyaprathet bypass road in Sa Kaeo province, where local officials prepared traditional checkered cloth (pha khao ma) as souvenirs. This gesture impressed the visiting global celebrities with Thailand’s unique soft power.
This hand-woven checkered cloth from Sa Kaeo is crafted using ancient weaving techniques, blending local wisdom with modern Zero Waste concepts. It repurposes leftover shirt collars from factories, spinning them into yarn for weaving. The result is a dense, soft, and vibrant fabric that can be transformed into various products such as clothing, hats, bags, garlands, suit pins, and scarves.
Throughout the route, the Gumball 3000 supercar convoy not only attracted local spectators eager to see the world’s most expensive charity supercar rally but also received comprehensive convenience, care, and security measures. This evening, the Gumball 3000 charity supercar rally will arrive at the Central World shopping center in Bangkok for an event. The public can view the supercars free of charge.
