PATTAYA: The Pattaya Provincial Court on Friday extended the detention of a detainee who ran away the court house in business with 2 other offenders on Monday, triggering a substantial manhunt culminating in their regain.
Pol Lt Col Somboon Ueasamanmaitri of Pattaya police headquarters stated Noi Nilthes, 40, was accompanied from his police headquarters cell to the court.
The court authorized his additional detention for a duration of 12 days.
Mr Noi escaped from the courthouse on Monday afternoon with Bart Allen Helmus, 39, and his Thai spouse Sirinapa Wisetrit, 40. They were at the court for trial on drug trafficking charges. The 3 were captured in Watthana Nakhon district of Sa Kaeo province on Wednesday.
Authorities took Mr Noi to Pattaya. The American escapee and his Thai spouse are still in an intensive care unit of the Sakaeo Crown Prince Health center in Muang district of Sa Kaeo. Mr Helmus shot his spouse and after that himself in a quote to prevent arrest, according to authorities.
