Pattaya is reddening for Chinese Brand-new Year.
Town hall started today embellishing Beach Roadway and other significant streets with red lanterns and other accessories to celebrate this weekend’s vacation.
The lanterns were switched on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. with lots of travelers pleased to take selfies.
From Strolling Street to Naklua Roadway, services likewise got in on the act, embellishing their shops to mark the celebration.
This year, the Chinese New Year falls on 22 January, marking the start of the Year of the Bunny. The Spring Celebration, lasting 16 days, is filled with enjoyable activities and customs. Whatever is painted in red throughout this celebration.
The Chinese think about red an advantageous color. It’s a color of event specifically in the year of the white Bunny, signifying hope, peace, success, durability and joy.
