Thai restaurant owners in China often select Thai seasoning and sauces, as they have unique flavors, produced from natural materials, making them good for health, and they are easy to find and buy in minimarts, superstores, and online shopping platforms.

With the aim of expanding Thai local food ingredients to the global market, Thailand modifies the taste and flavor of its food products to match the preferences of international customers, especially China.

According to the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Xiamen Commercial Section, Thai food seasoning is very popular in China. Thai restaurant owners in China often select Thai seasoning and sauces, as they have unique flavors, produced from natural materials, making them good for health, and they are easy to find and buy in minimarts, superstores, and online shopping platforms.

Moreover, the Xiamen Commercial Section also provided four suggestions for anyone producing Thai seasoning products, as follows:

1) Focus on unique taste, as each seasoning should have different tastes and flavors;

2) Use natural materials for production and avoid chemical substances, as Chinese customers pay special attention to health;

3) Provide information about the ingredients, as many Thai seasonings have medicinal properties, and they limit sugar and sodium to low levels, to match the healthy lifestyle of Chinese customers;
