PHUKET, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Phuket provincial administration have launched a light-and-sound show in the province as part of the “Vijitr” series of events across five regions. The shows began on Saturday night (Aug 24), creating an enchanting experience for tourists in key destinations.
Running until September 1, the event takes place from 6 p.m. to midnight and features 15 lighting displays across two main areas, including Phuket Old Town and Saphan Hin Park. Among the attractions is a lighting display that illuminates the Sino-Portuguese architecture of the old Chartered Bank building in the old town, showcasing its beauty.
Additional features include a light show depicting jellyfish and butterflies in flower fields, as well as pearls above waves. These displays are designed for walking tours, allowing tourists to explore the various locations and enjoy the lighting artworks.
Fireworks displays will also be held on August 30, 31, and September 1 at around 7:30 p.m., adding to the festivities and drawing visitors to the event. (NNT)
