PATTAYA, Thailand— A newborn female elephant calf called “Pang Noppamas” was invited with a grand event at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya on December 12, marking the 5th elephant birth in the year 2023 and the 109th in the history of the sanctuary.
The considerable occasion happened on November 7, at 11.15 p.m., when the mom elephant, Pang Songkran, delivered with the dad elephant, Plai Ningnong, standing close by. To mark the celebration, Nong Nooch Pattaya Garden arranged a procession of standard Thai dancers and elephant decors, including 50 embellished elephants, together with garlands and ritualistic threads.
The event, supervised by Phrakhru Kasem Kittisopon, the abbot of Samakkhi Banpot Temple, consisted of routines to bless both the mom and the newborn elephant. Following the event, the elephants were embellished with garlands and ritualistic threads, representing auspiciousness for both the mom and the newborn calf.
The President of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Pattaya, Kampon Tansajja, together with the management group, commanded the event and revealed his pleasure and thankfulness for the brand-new addition to the elephant household. He stated, “We are extremely delighted and happy to invite Pang Noppamas, who is the 109th elephant calf born in our sanctuary. We comply with a practice where each recently born elephant is commemorated with a grand event, showcasing the cultural richness of the area.”
Nong Nooch Garden takes pride in its dedication to the wellness of the elephants in its care.
