2 Chinese males were apprehended after a street brawl in Pattaya in which 2 other Chinese nationals were hurt in the early hours of Thursday.
About 1.30 am authorities were notified of a racket including 2 groups of Chinese males on a street behind the Tesco Lotus North Pattaya warehouse store, Thai media reported.
Authorities coming to the scene offered chase to 2 lorries being repelled by 2 of the males included.
They overtook the lorries, a white Mercedes Benz and a black Toyota Alphard van, both having Bangkok licence plates, at traffic signal at a crossway with Pattaya Nuea (North Pattaya) roadway.
The 2 motorists were apprehended. Zhang Hongxing, 28, motorist of the van, had swellings on his arms while Cao Lei, 33, was the motorist of the Mercedes.
A search discovered a sharp-pointed knife and a baton inside the van.
The 2 males were required to Pattaya city police headquarters for questioning about the brawl, in which 2 other Chinese nationals were hurt.
The hurt males were being dealt with at Pattaya Memorial Medical Facility. One was determined as Huang Wanyou, 19.
Witnesses informed authorities that 2 groups of Chinese males were associated with a quarrel which ended up being violent. Members of one group got away on foot, with the other males pursuing them in lorries.
Authorities were examining.
