The four-vehicle pile-up happened after the intoxicated chauffeur of the 6-wheeled water truck (right) rear-ended a trailer truck, that crashed into an Isuzu pickup that crashed into a Nissan pickup stopped at the traffic signal.

Pattaya, Thailand— An intoxicated chauffeur triggered a four-vehicle crash at the Pakruam crossway on Highway 331 in Bo Win commercial district, east of Pattaya. 2 individuals were hurt in the crash. The mishap happened on Sept 28, when a 6-wheeled water truck from Rayong rear-ended a trailer truck from Chachoengsao that crashed into an Isuzu pickup triggering it to crash into a Nissan pickup stopped at the traffic signal.

A female traveler in the Isuzu pickup was hurt. She got preliminary on-site care prior to being transferred to Laem Chabang Medical Facility. The water truck’s chauffeur, Phitak Inta, 40, appeared intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. He sustained an ideal shoulder injury and was likewise transferred to Laem Chabang Medical Facility.

Eyewitnesses kept in mind the water truck chauffeur did not use his brakes as it came close to the crossway, crashing into the trailer truck at high speed, triggering a 30-meter pile-up.
