The previous Pattaya mayor and culture minister deals with an arrest warrant after stopping working to stand for his arraignment over charges from a decade-old apartment advancement scandal in Pattaya. Itthiphol Kunplome’s present area stays concealed. Neither his home nor his political faction’s workplace in the Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri saw any indication of him the other day. The homes were significantly uninhabited.

Neglecting the summons from public district attorneys who meant to escort the 50 year old to the Lawbreaker Court for Corruption and Misbehavior Cases in Rayong on Monday, led the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to pursue a court-approved arrest warrant by Tuesday.

According to Kosolwat Inthuchanyong, deputy representative of the Workplace of the Attorney-General, Itthiphol is presumed of unlawfully authorising the building of the Waterside Suites & & Residences apartment job in Pattaya on September 10, 2008, throughout his period as Pattaya mayor.

The job was owned by Bali Hai Co. The NACC lodged the case with the Workplace of the Attorney-General (OAG) on August 3, and the attorney-general decreed the prosecution of Itthiphol Kunplome on August 30.

Itthiphol stands implicated of impropriety under Area 157 of the Lawbreaker Code, which might cause a jail sentence varying from one to ten years. The case’s 15-year statute of constraints is because of end on Sunday.

The controversial Waterside condo was meant to make up 57 floorings on 2 rai (around 0.79 acres) of land at the base of Khao Phra Tamnak hill, neighbouring Pattaya Bay and Bali Hai Pier. The job dealt with opposition due to its style and the land it was developed on, reports Bangkok Post.

In a comparable case versus corruption, Prayudh Mahagitsiri, a popular magnate, was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months jail time with the charge connected to a notorious land advancement scandal. Click on this link to find out more.
