CHON BURI: Heavy rain pounded Bang Lamung district early on Tuesday, triggering flooding on roadways and in neighborhoods, and the overflow deteriorated areas of Pattaya beach.
The rainstorm started around 12.20 am and lasted more than an hour. The floodwater was 50-80 centimetres deep in some locations.
The roadway along the train from Soi Khao Talo to Soi Wat Tham and an area of Sukhumvit Roadway were flooded and blockaded to little lorries and bikes. The water slowly declined.
Pattaya beach was worn down in between Pattaya Nua and Pattaya Klang. The big volume of overflow swept away sand that the Marine Department had actually hauled in to broaden the Pattaya coastline and restore its appearance to visitors.
