PATTAYA: 3 Iranian males detained on Friday apparently for attempting to exchange 9 fake US$ 100 notes at a regional cubicle informed authorities they brought the cash from their home nation.
Apprehended with the phony cash were Majid Shokri, 30, Hamid Moutabchi, 36, and Mahdi Latifi, 31.
Authorities stated the operator of a regional currency exchange cubicle called The Winner Quality on Soi 6 off Pattaya Sai Tune Roadway notified them that the immigrants attempted to exchange counterfeit notes for Thai baht. Authorities discovered them with the notes and made the arrest.
Authorities estimated the Iranian males as stating that they took the notes from Iran and went to Thailand for the very first time.
