” Pang Yok” brought to life “Plai Chai” at 3 a.m. on the night of April 9. Both infant and mom were stated to be healthy.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden invited its 2nd infant elephant of 2023. Park Director Kampol Tansajja commanded the April 20 true blessing event for the brand-new calf, called “Plai Chai”, with Phra Khru Kittisophon, abbot of Wat Samakkhi Banphot temple in Bang Saray.

Nong Nooch arranged an elephant-dancing parade to commemorate the April 9 birth. A flower garland was put the infant elephant’s head and it was sprayed with holy water. ” Plai Chai” is the offspring of cow “Pang Yok” and bull “Plai Ning Nong”. Both infant and mom were stated to be healthy.

Editor’s note: Pang and Plai are prefix names, utilized in Thailand for female and male elephants respectively.
