Much of the world’s leading guitar makers and gamers will carry out at the “Pattaya Classical Guitar Celebration & & Competitors 2015” at Siam Bayshore Pattaya, Chon Buri, on Oct 25. Kept in cooperation with Thailand Guitar Society, the seventh edition of the celebration boasts a remarkable list of a minimum of 12 visitor artists, 5 luthiers and a variety of trainees coming from Japan, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
The occasion will start with adult and junior guitar competitors at 9.30 am, followed by a guitar exhibit and workshop with guitar makers at 2pm; a trainee performance by Thailand Guitar Society at 3pm; and an afternoon performance with virtuoso star Worrapat Yansupap and duo Pongpat Pongpradit and Chuah Yeong Chin at 5pm.
The “Guitar Night” performance at 6pm functions the specialist strumming of Woratep Rattana-umpawan (Thailand), Leon Koudelak (Czech Republic), Tomonori Arai (Japan) and Maria Duo (Japan). The competitors winners will be revealed at 9pm. The very first reward in the adult competitors is a guitar worth US$ 4,500 (160,000 baht), made by world-renowned Indonesian luthier Hanief Palopo.
