Pattaya and migration authorities ruined the night of more travelers, raiding the Hollywood bar to examine passports, visas and performing random drug tests.
Pattaya authorities chief Pol. Col. Tanapong Poti led the April 23 operation with 50 officers, all entrusted with examining nightlife places to search for visa overstayers and foreign fugitives.
More than 300 individuals, Thai and foreign, were enjoying their night at Hollywood when authorities intruded, switched on the lights and apprehended everybody for recognition checks and even random drug tests.
Nobody was discovered to have actually done anything unlawful or have migration issues. Drug tests were done on 41 staff members, in addition to 81 Chinese travelers, 28 from Hong Kong, 27 from South Korea, 3 from Taiwan and 2 from Laos. All of them passed the test.
