Pattaya-area cops made a program of force to once again assure travelers of their security in the city.
Pol. Col. Patikorn Sornchai, deputy leader of Provincial Authorities Area 2, Pattaya cops chief Pol. Col. Thanapong Photi and Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn dispatched 234 officers from Pattaya Police headquarters Feb. 17.
The show-of-force consisted of Pattaya, traveler and migration cops in addition to bureaucrats from Banglamung District, the Chonburi Work Department, Pattaya Municipal Government and the Banglamung Public Health Department.
Officers fanned out throughout Strolling Street, advising bar and club owners that underage minors, drugs, weapons, human trafficking and risky environments are discredited.
