Naklua Lan Po Market seafood sellers are raking it in as Songkran travelers pay out for shellfish.
The majority of the consumers April 11 were Pattaya residents preparing to leave town prior to the water mayhem began. They purchased seafood to consume themselves or give loved ones upcountry.
With increased need came increased costs, with hawkers rising costs for crab, shrimp, shellfish and fish. Sellers rejected they were rate gouging, stating they just installed costs due to brief supply.
The exact same rush will occur in a week when the travelers leave town.
