Among main Pattaya’s earliest trees was noticable dead and lower prior to it dropped.
The huge “yang Na” tree standing outside the Siam Commercial Bank near the crossway of Central and Second Roadways was dismembered and eliminated over 6 hours Jan. 17.
Deputy Mayor Manote Nongyai stated the “yang na” tree (Dipterocarpus alatus or resin tree) was more than 50 years old and passed away while still rooted. However the decomposing tree presented higher risk of falling every day and needed to be removed.
The wood will be become fertilizer for usage by the city’s Environment Department.
