Bangkok guv Aswin Kwanmuang stated on Wednesday he will resign on Thursday, declaring his intent to run in the gubernatorial election tentatively set for May 22.

Pol Gen Aswin, who was selected to the position by the previous coup federal government, was speaking after opening a brand-new structure at Public Health Service Centre 51 in Soi Phahon Yothin 24 of Chatuchak district.

He stated would send his resignation letter to Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda on Thursday, one day ahead of the Election Commission’s anticipated authorities statement of the dates for the election of district councillors and administrators of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Pattaya City on Friday.
