The naked body of a foreign male was found on the beach in Pattaya on Sunday morning.
After being alerted to the presence of the body, opposite Soi 3 on Beach Road, a team of police, led by Pol Cpt Anan Mahakitasavakul, a deputy enquiry officer, and EMTs rushed to the scene.
Police say that they found no signs of assault on the body. There was a tattoo of a bird on the right hand and another featuring flowers on the left.
Black shorts were found on the beach, but no documents which could identify the decedent. Police believe the man had been dead for about 5 hours by the time they arrived.
The body was taken to Bang Lamung Hospital, before being transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital in Bangkok for autopsy.
