CHON BURI: A Briton, 51, was eliminated after a firework he was attempting to light took off throughout New Year’s events in Pattaya town soon after midnight.

The surge took place on Soi Liab Chai Had 13/2 in tambon Nong Prue of Bang Lamuang district, stated Pol Capt Nakhonrat Nontseelard, deputy examination chief at Pattaya police headquarters, who looked out at around 12.30 am.

Authorities and rescue employees who got to the scene discovered a crowd of individuals in front of a beer bar where the British guy, determined as Gary McLaren, was discovered pushing the ground with major facial injuries.

Medics carried out CPR however stopped working to conserve his life. His pals were seen sobbing at the scene. A big firework was discovered on the ground close by and cops took it as proof.

Ms Wassana Ngontai, 24, who experienced the surge, informed cops that the Briton and his pals were commemorating New Year’s at the bar. He attempted to light the firework in front of the bar two times, however stopped working.

She later on saw there was smoke originating from the firework while he was still in close distance. All of a sudden, it took off, she stated.
