Pattaya cops detained an intoxicated motorist behind the wheel in spite of being more than 4 times over the legal limitation.
The unknown motorist was captured around 1 a.m. April 11 at a checkpoint established on Pattaya Second Roadway near the Dolphin Roundabout.
A breathalyzer test discovered the motorist had a blood-alcohol material level of 0.225%. Thailand’s legal limitation is 0.05%.
Pattaya cops are promising to split down hard on intoxicated chauffeurs throughout this year’s Songkran vacations.
If founded guilty, intoxicated chauffeurs deal with a year in prison and/or a fine of approximately 20,000 baht for a very first offense. Second-time wrongdoers within 2 years of the very first DUI can get 2 years in jail, a fine of approximately 100,000 baht and see their license suspended.
