CHON BURI – A Finnish couple on their very first day in Pattaya came down with a street burglar, who took 2 gold pendants worth about 50,000 baht from the spouse’s neck early on Thursday afternoon.

They were robbed on Soi Wat Bunkanchanaram in Bang Lamung district about 1.30 pm, authorities stated.

Raimo Kalevi, 53, and her spouse Eilo Mario, 51, still looked surprised when authorities reached the scene.

Mrs Kaveli, who sustained swellings on her neck, stated she and her spouse had actually gotten here in Pattaya on Thursday early morning. After signing in at their lodging they headed out shopping in the location close by.

They remained in the middle of the roadway, crossing back to their space, when a Thai guy on a motorbike unexpectedly took her 2 gold pendants and left away. The taken pendants deserved about 50,000 baht.

A witness, Natpairat Pengpinit, informed authorities he heard the travelers screaming for aid, hurried out to look and saw the burglar leaving on the bike.

The theft was recorded by a security cam at his lodging, Mr Natpairat stated.

There were numerous hotels and leased spaces in the location, and numerous travelers remained there, he stated. Theft from travelers was not unusual, regardless of the closed-circuit tv cams set up in the location to hinder criminal offense, stated Mr Natpairat.

Just a couple of days earlier, Pattaya authorities were bought to step up alertness and  arrest snatchers after numerous travelers checking out the beach city fell victim to them.
