CHON BURI: An Indian traveler lost his wallet and about 27,000 baht in money to a drag queen pocket picker while on a minibus early Tuesday early morning, cops stated.

Accompanied by a group of Indian buddies, Vaghela Rakesh Kumar Manubhai, 46, submitted a grievance with Pattaya cops about 4.30 am.

Speaking through an interpreter, the Indian male stated he and his buddies were strolling on Pattaya beach and were approached by a drag queen who feigned relationship.

On discovering that they were going back to their hotel, the drag queen hailed a minibus for them and accompanied them on the trip.

At the mouth of Soi 13/3 on Pattaya beach roadway, the drag queen left, stating he would go to his bike.

When the Indians came to the hotel, Mr Manubhai grabbed his wallet and discovered it had actually been taken. Inside the wallet had to do with US$ 700, 7,500 Indian rupees and 3,000 baht – completely about 27,000 baht.

They took the minibus back to Pattaya police headquarters and submitted their grievance.
