In a genuine homage, the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for the Deaf came together for an intimate event to honor the 20th anniversary of the death of Rev. Raymond A. Brennan CSsR. The centerpiece of this event was the statue put up in his memory, nestled within the peaceful premises of the Pattaya Orphanage.
This poignant occasion invited a choose group of unique visitors, amongst them previous homeowners who as soon as called the Orphanage their house, in addition to an adoptive household coming from Germany. The celebration was enhanced by the existence of Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak and Fr. Francis Xavier Kritsada Sukkaphat, who led the true blessing of the freshly refurbished administrative structure and the top-floor dorm for older kids.
Following these solemn true blessings, a quick yet sincere funeral unfolded. Friends of Fr. Ray, consisting of Mr. Premprecha Dibbayawan and his other half Supanee, Elfi Seitz who has actually resided in Pattaya for over 40 years. Mr. Didier Moly of Les Amis de l’Orphelinat de Pattaya, France and Mr. Pratheep ‘Peter’ Malhotra of the Pattaya Mail Media Group, shared touching reminiscences of their valued good friend. The service culminated with an unique homage by Mr. Panya Yotkham, who as an orphan kid lived here, a testimony to the impressive success that can emerge from the care and assistance offered by Dad Ray and this house.
Towards the conclusion of the service, a poignant minute was developed as each kid and visitor put a rose around Fr. Ray’s statue while the touching tune of “Unsung Hero” played in the background. It was a basic yet effective gesture that encapsulated the long-lasting spirit of Fr. Ray’s tradition.
The night continued with an unique supper, promoting a warm and familial environment amongst all individuals. Through this celebratory event, the memory of Fr. Raymond A. Brennan survives on in the ideas and prayers of those present.
