Deputy Mayor Thitiphan Phettrakul chaired a last April 4 preparation conference for the Songkran “wan lai” days on April 18 in Naklua and April 19 in Pattaya.

In Naklua, the day will start at 7 a.m. with offerings of rice and dried food to 99 monks, bathing Buddha statues and paying regard to older individuals, requesting true blessings and offering presents.

At 10 a.m., a significant Songkran flower parade will leave from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Structure. It will transfer to Lan Po Public Park, the Naklua New Market and after that divided into 2 smaller sized parades. The very first will return to Lan Po Park and the 2nd go back to Sawang Boriboon.

A day later on, Songkran celebrations start at Wat Chaimongkol Temple with offerings of breakfast to monks, providing of certificates to older individuals, bathing of Buddha statues and monks, paying regard to older locals and Thai cultural efficiencies and conventional video games.
