Chon Buri: An American soldier who participated in the international Cobra Gold Military workout previously this month was beaten by a group of street hawkers presumably offering fake watches in Pattaya in an event recorded on video on Saturday.

The 1-minute, 40 2nd clip of the brawl was published on a Facebook page signed up under the name of Julie Wolstencroft on Saturday.

The video footage reveals an immigrant and 2 Thai guys pushing each other, with others attempting to separate them, in front of a bar on the Pattaya beach roadway, near to Muang Pattaya police headquarters. A group of Thai guys then surround the immigrant and beat him.

The event is stated to have actually occurred at 5pm on Saturday.

Cops close by showed up rapidly and questioned both sides. Officers stated the immigrant is an American soldier who was on vacation in Pattaya after participating in the 37th Cobra Gold works out held from Feb 13 to 23 in Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Chachoengsao.

While having a beverage in the bar, the immigrant was approached by watch sellers who were strongly attempting to make a sale, causing a brawl, the officers stated.

The immigrant was at first typed the face and after that resisted, according to the officers. The group of watch sellers then attacked him.

Observers stated immigrants are typically targeted by hawkers offering fake watches.

When immigrants decline to purchase the watches, stating they are not genuine, the sellers often blow up and make dangers. The issue has actually not yet been seriously dealt with by authorities, according to observers.
