The vessel happily shows the words “Let’s Roll,” echoing the rallying cry of those aboard Flight 93, along with a “93” seal, acting as a poignant suggestion of their bravery.
Powered by 4 diesel motor producing 40,000 horse power, the USS Somerset boasts impressive abilities, consisting of a leading speed going beyond 22 knots and complete electrical propulsion. Equipped with sophisticated weapons such as rolling airframe rocket launchers, 50-caliber gatling gun, and 30mm weapons, the vessel determines 684 feet in length and 105 feet in beam.
The USS Somerset, along with its devoted team and authorities, is slated to take part in Workout Cobra Gold 2024, starting on February 27.
