Chon Buri: The Court of Appeal supported a lower court’s judgment the other day sentencing red-shirt member Arisman Pongruangrong and 12 others to 4 years in jail in connection with a riot that interfered with the 2009 Asean Top in Pattaya.

Arisman: Bail declined for red-shirt rioter

In its judgment, the court discovered Arisman and the other offenders guilty as charged for their function in the demonstration at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort Hotel, which required the evacuation of local leaders and the post ponement of the top.

The court waited the lower court’s judgment consisting of the four-year prison terms without suspension.

Following the court’s judgment, the offenders’ households sent bail demands, with 2 million baht used as security for Arisman and one million baht each for the 12 others.

The top was restaged in Phuket later on in June, with a strong military guard guaranteeing the procedures were not disrupted for a 2nd time.
