CHON BURI: Authorities from the Traveler Authorities Bureau and the Innovation Criminal Offense Suppression Department on Saturday night took more than 10,000 products of pirated product in raids on about 40 stalls at Thep Prasit Pattaya Market, understood to be among the most significant sources of phony items in Pattaya.

The raid, led by Pol Maj Gen Surachate Hakpan, deputy commissioner of the Traveler Authorities Bureau, started at about 11pm.

The items taken were copies of different brand-name items, consisting of clothing, fragrance, electrical devices, watches and bags.

Pol Maj Gen Surachate stated the phony items deserved in between 3 and 4 million baht.

He stated the action belonged to the continuous cooperation in between Thailand and the United States in minimizing the amount of pirated items and offenses of copyright.
